BANJA LUKA MARKS “NIGHT OF FORTRESSES” WITH A UNIQUE PROGRAM THIS YEAR

Banja Luka will once again take part in the regional event known as the “Night of Fortresses,” an initiative aimed at connecting and promoting programs at fortified heritage sites across Europe.

According to available information, a variety of engaging activities are scheduled for May 9 at the Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka. The evening is expected to culminate in a special concert, offering visitors a memorable cultural experience.

The cultural and tourism event “Night of Fortresses” has been held at fortified cultural heritage sites since 2022. Since 2023, it has been promoted on a European level as part of the broader “European Fortress Summer” program.

The main goal of the event is to enhance the cultural and tourism offer in cities with fortified heritage across Europe, while also raising awareness about the potential and importance of valuing cultural heritage as a driver of cultural tourism development.
