BANJA LUKA CHESS SUMMER: 130 COMPETITORS FROM 12 CITIES

Banja Luka is hosting a unique event called "Banja Luka Chess Summer in the Park," organized by the Chess Club "Gambit," being held in our city for the first time.

The event, which includes several evening blitz chess tournaments in the open air, has gathered 130 competitors from 12 cities.

The first tournament, held last night, July 18, in the newly renovated ambiance of the "Mladen Stojanović" Park, was attended by Mayor Draško Stanivuković, who congratulated the organizer on the initiative and organization of this unique event.

- I congratulate the Chess Club 'Gambit' Banja Luka and the Club President Nemanja Šipka on the initiative and excellent organization, hoping that the 'Banja Luka Chess Summer in the Park' will become a traditional event that brings together chess lovers of all generations, from the youngest to the oldest, said the mayor.

He also emphasized that the City of Banja Luka will be a reliable support and provide full backing to this event, both this year and in the years to come.
