This match is crucial for Banja Luka's hopes of a "European spring," as a victory would secure the reigning champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina a place in the next stage of the competition.

The most passionate supporters of the "red-and-blue" club, popularly known as the "Vultures," have sent a clear message to the players ahead of this historic encounter.

A large banner displayed along Banja Luka's Western Transit reads a special request to Saint Nicholas, whose feast day coincides with the match: they are asking for victory. For Borac, such a result would ensure their continued European campaign.

Currently, Borac sits in 20th place with seven points. Their closest competitors, Slovenia's Celje, are three points behind in 25th place—the first position that fails to secure a spot in the knockout stage. A draw against Omonia would see Borac pull ahead by an insurmountable margin, guaranteeing their greatest success in the club's modern history.
