One of the most iconic rock bands from the former Yugoslavia, Bajaga i Instruktori, marked a major milestone last year — 40 years of successful work. Since then, the band has been on a celebratory anniversary tour, highlighted by one of the greatest concerts of their career at Ušće in Belgrade, performed in front of more than 50,000 fans.
Their
jubilee tour has taken them to packed venues across the region, including a
sold-out Zagreb Arena, the historic Pula Arena, Ljubljana, Maribor, Skopje,
Sarajevo, and numerous major cities throughout the Balkans. The grand finale of
last year’s celebrations was a major U.S. tour, during which the band held nine
concerts across America.
The
anniversary was further marked by the release of the monograph “Pesme”,
published earlier this year. The book features 160 songs, as well as rare
photographs and manuscripts documenting the creative life of frontman Momčilo
Bajagić Bajaga.
One of the cities Bajaga has not visited for a long time is Banja Luka — but that will change this winter.
On
December 26, fans will finally have the chance to enjoy all the greatest hits
of Bajaga i Instruktori at the Borik Sports Hall in Banja Luka. The concert
repertoire will span songs from all 13 studio albums, starting with the
legendary 1984 debut Pozitivna geografija up to their most recent work.
Tickets
are available in presale via entrio.ba, at Entrio sales points (exchange
offices in Banja Luka’s Delta and Mercator shopping centers), as well as at the
sales booth in front of RK Boska.
