BORA ČORBA FOR SEESRPSKA: BANJALUKA IS OUR STRONGHOLD
The members of the band Riblja Čorba expressed their gratitude to Banja Luka with great emotion, saying they will remember the last night of the "Banjalučki dani muzike" festival for a long time.
"After all the hardships we’ve been through, it’s great to return to performing, but this was one of the strongest concerts we’ve had on this new tour. The people here are wonderful. Banja Luka is our geographical stronghold, and we always gladly come back here," Bora Čorba told SeeSrpska.
Festival attendees will also remember this performance as one of the best they’ve ever experienced, as such emotion and connection between the artist and the audience is rarely felt.
The tireless crowd, both young and old, sang along with Bora Čorba for two and a half hours, word for word, and didn’t let him leave the stage at least four times!
Guardians of rock music, masters of quality sound, and owners of countless hits that have shaped generations, Riblja Čorba showed that they still dominate the music scene and are always welcome in the city on the Vrbas River. The festival Banjalučki dani muzike concluded with spectacular performances by Katarza, Regina, Riblja Čorba, and Marko Louis.
It’s hard to say which of these artists left more of their soul on the stage and gave it to the audience, but Banja Luka once again proved to be an excellent host for all lovers of quality music. On the last night, the first to perform were the winners of the Banjaluka Guitar Fest, the band Katarza.
"The audience was amazing. We missed performing, and we played our original songs. We continue from here, on Saturday we’ll be playing at the Vranduk Fortress in Zenica," said Ernest Bučinski, frontman of Katarza. Judging by the audience's excitement, these guys truly lived up to the band's name.
After them, led by Aleksandar Čović, Regina surprised the crowd, showing that "love indeed exists" for both Banja Luka and them.
"Tonight we were supposed to perform in Montenegro, but due to the new pandemic restrictions there, we canceled and came here because we are friends of this event, and we missed the audience. It’s not hard to play when people love the songs you perform, and you just let yourself flow with the good energy that the crowd returns. Above all, I love Banja Luka as a city. I come here at least once every three months, and I walk around the city with friends, drink great coffee, and enjoy excellent food," said Čović, who also promised that their new album will be released by the end of the year.
The festival concluded with a performance by Marko Louis. When he appeared on stage, the crowd erupted once again. Hundreds of devoted fans didn’t hide their emotions as they sang along to the heartfelt lyrics offered by this exceptional artist. Neither Marko nor his band hid their excitement, and carried away by the energy, they jumped into the crowd, dancing, playing, and singing along with them.
At the end of the night, it was clear that Marko and the audience had given all their strength to each other.
