FAIR CUP AND FISH STEW COMPETITION EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS IN DERVENTA

The competition track in Trstenci near Derventa today hosted the Fair and Memorial Cup “Stanko Marjanović,” a fishing contest with rod and float, as well as the traditional fišijada (fish stew competition).

The event was supported by the Mayor of Derventa, Igor Žunić, who visited the competitors together with his associates and expressed gratitude to the members of the Sports Fishing Association “Ukrina” for their efforts in protecting the Sava and Ukrina rivers.

– We have great trust in these people and we know how important they are for our community life. We will continue to provide support in the future, not only for this event, but also for the protection of our rivers and nature. My wish is that next year we jointly prepare a project to expand the track in Trstenci and create conditions for organizing larger competitions – said Mayor Žunić.

The winner of the Fair and Memorial Cup “Stanko Marjanović” was Goran Kuzmanović from Prnjavor, while the team victory went to SRD “Škobalj” from Stanari.

In the fish stew competition, the best result was achieved by the team “Hunting Lodge Velika Sočanica.”

The event was organized by the Sports Fishing Association “Ukrina.”
