AROUND 350 RUNNERS TAKE PART IN TREBINJE SUN RUN

Around 350 runners from more than 12 countries took part in the third Sun Run Half Marathon in Trebinje.

Emir Hastor from Goražde won the men’s 21-kilometre race, completing the challenging course in one hour and 10 minutes. Neven Cicović finished second, while Denis Jusić took third place.

In the women’s category, Switzerland’s Lara Droz claimed victory with a time of one hour and 29 minutes, followed by Elena Sokolova and Milena Biberdžić.

The event also featured a five-kilometre Fun Run, giving recreational runners an opportunity to join the sporting atmosphere.

The youngest participant was seven-year-old Stefan Damjanac from Trebinje, who completed the five-kilometre race.

Organizers said the Sun Run continues to grow each year, with the event becoming increasingly important for both sports and tourism promotion in Trebinje.
