The mountain of Leotar above Trebinje is now home to the Via Ferrata "Kamena Glava-Leotar," enriching the tourist offer of the city on the banks of the Trebišnjica River with a new, highly interesting, and attractive adventure, alpinist, and mountaineering activity.
This project, successfully realized after long-term
dedicated work to the pride and joy of the broader community, was completed by
the team of the "Paragliding Aero Club Trebinje."
All interested citizens of Trebinje, as well as tourists
visiting the city, will have the opportunity to experience and personally
witness the attractiveness of the "via ferrata" and enjoy this new
mountaineering and adventure activity.
This addition further enriches the tourist offer of the
southernmost city of Republika Srpska, which day by day is positioning itself
better in the tourism market as a destination with numerous and interesting
adventure activities.
Recall that the previous year, 2023, will be remembered in the history of Trebinje's tourism as the best and most successful since tourism traffic has been measured.
During 2023, Trebinje recorded 201,076 registered tourist
overnight stays, representing an increase of 11.45% compared to the previously
record-breaking year of 2022.
The tourism sector in Trebinje is continuously on an upward
trajectory, with significant increases in the volume of tourist traffic,
placing Trebinje among the rapidly growing tourist destinations contributing
significantly to the overall increase in tourism traffic recorded in Republika
Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
