The Olympic Center "Jahorina" is the first in the region to begin producing artificial snow, which will be stored and ready until the grand opening of the winter season scheduled for December 12th, according to a statement from the Olympic Center.
Snow production started at the Poljice training ground, thanks to the advanced "Snow Factory" system for artificial snowmaking, which allows for snow production even when temperatures are above freezing.
The Olympic Center highlights that Jahorina continues to invest in development, and this year, in addition to numerous infrastructure and facility investments, the timely preparation of the slopes sets regional standards, with the mountain already receiving its first snowfalls.
"Ski pass pre-sales are underway, with a 10 percent discount on six-day passes and longer, making it the perfect opportunity to secure your spot on the Jahorina slopes in advance," the Olympic Center said.
The statement adds that Jahorina is entering the winter season fully prepared, with the ambition to exceed the expectations of all visitors and once again confirm its status as the leading winter destination in the region.
"Preparations are in full swing, and with record investments and the early start of snow production, everything is ready for a season that will set new standards in skiing and winter sports," the Olympic Center emphasized.
