Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska Denis Šulić has confirmed that this year around 20,000 vouchers will once again be available for domestic tourists, while an additional 10,000 will be allocated to agencies that bring in international visitors.
“We will implement the program in two phases — the first will run from the end of May to the end of June, and the second from around September 10 or 15 until November 15. This is part of our effort to support the tourism sector, which continues to show strong growth and an increasing number of guests each year,” Šulić told reporters in Gradiška.
He stated that the project will now also be accessible to citizens from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, as well as from across Europe and the world.
The Minister noted that he met with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Serb member and current Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović, where they discussed enhancing the tourism offer.
“President Dodik supported the initiative to reintroduce the vouchers in Republika Srpska, but also proposed a new step — to extend certain subsidies to agencies that bring foreign tourists,” Šulić concluded.
