Deputy Mayor of Vlasenica, Mladen Popović, highlighted the importance of this event, emphasizing that it is one of the most significant manifestations supported by the local community with the goal of promoting tourism. He also pointed out the broader impact of such events, including the development of the Igrišta Ski Center, which has received long-term support from the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and Prime Minister Radovan Višković.

Dragan Ilić, President of the Mountaineering Club "Acer" Vlasenica, noted that this event has been fostering friendships among hikers for six decades and continues to grow in popularity each year.

"In recent years, participation has consistently reached four-digit numbers. This year, we have even more visitors from other regions, with between 60 and 70 mountaineering clubs represented. The weather is on our side, and this will be a fantastic event," Ilić stated.

Acting Director of the Vlasenica Tourism Organization, Marela Kurtuma, emphasized that this event is a valuable opportunity for the local community, bringing together hundreds of hiking enthusiasts.

Ahead of the "Hike to Pjenovac," a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Mountaineering Association of Republika Srpska was held, where the results of the past year’s activities were reviewed.
