A highlight of their autumn excursions was a weekend journey to the enchanting Tara Mountain, where members had the chance to explore the National Park Tara, drenched in the vibrant colors of fall.

A group of 26 hikers spent two days in the village of Rastište, staying in the local mountain lodge.

Over the weekend, they tackled two mountain trails, covering about 26 kilometers, each with an elevation gain of approximately 900 meters. Majestic viewpoints like Bilješka Rock, Banjska Rock, Mitrovac, and Predov Krst rewarded them with breathtaking autumn landscapes.

Laughter and positive energy marked the trip as hikers shared moments of camaraderie and encounters with local villagers who warmly welcomed them along the route. Many residents expressed a bittersweet sentiment, feeling forgotten due to the dwindling population in the area. "People have disappeared," they shared, voicing the hardships of life in these quieter regions.

The group expressed heartfelt gratitude to their friend and fellow hiker, Oliver, who organized the entire trip flawlessly. PED Majevica members promised to return to these beautiful parts to support the people and the priceless natural beauty that thrives there.
