HIKING TOUR TO STRAČ FORTRESS IN HONOR OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Mountaineering Association of Montenegro is organizing a hike to Strač Fortress, one of the most famous fortifications near Trebinje, situated at an altitude of 705 meters.

The hiking club “Vučji zub” from Trebinje will also take part in this event, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025.

All ladies, as well as other citizens, are invited to join this special excursion and spend the morning in nature. After visiting Strač Fortress, the group will explore Matulića Cave, with the hike concluding at Crkvina Hill, home to the Herzegovinian Gračanica monastery.

The total hiking trail is approximately 10 kilometers long, with an estimated duration of around four hours, including breaks. 

Organizers note that the route is easy, but participants should bring appropriate equipment, including hiking shoes, sun protection, warm clothing, food and water, as well as a headlamp for exploring the fortress interior and the cave.

The starting point is at 10:00 AM at Geljev Most, along the Trebinje – Herceg Novi main road, near the information board for the viewpoint.
