SRBAC TRACTOR FESTIVAL TO FEATURE ROASTED OX

Preparations are underway for the 8th Srbac Tractor Festival, set to take place on March 23rd. Organizers promise that the agricultural aviation runway in Povelich will once again be filled with hundreds of tractor drivers and thousands of visitors.

“This year, tractor competitions will include standard categories such as tractor pulling and log dragging. In the coming days, we will decide whether to introduce a new competition category,” said Aleksandar Nježić, one of the organizers.

Last year, the event gathered 300 tractor drivers, while more than 2,000 spectators enjoyed the impressive displays of skill and precision. Participants traveled from multiple countries to take part in the festivities.

In addition to thrilling competitions, visitors can expect great entertainment and an unforgettable feast.

“We anticipate tractor drivers from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Poland. They come every year, but so far, we have no new international participants confirmed,” Nježić added, noting that he also expects young farmers who recently purchased Belarus tractors to join the event.

Alongside the main competition, a mini agricultural fair will showcase new machinery, tractors, and attachments. The festival wouldn't be complete without a lavish meal, highlighted by a roasted ox prepared for all attendees.

Entry fees are 10 KM for tractor drivers and 5 KM for visitors.
