In the fairytale-like village of Guždelji, near Rogatica, the Sorak family farm has restored an old family mill, the only one remaining of the former 30 along the Rakitnica River.
The river, which flows into the Bereški Waterfall not far from the mill, makes the natural surroundings of this area lively, rich, and especially beautiful.
This summer, the mill was visited by the "Little Explorers" from an association that organizes nature trips for children, educational workshops, cooking and household maintenance classes, the nurturing of tradition and the gift of finding joy in simple things, as well as organizing free time without the influence of technology or direct guidance.
Visitors to this unique place can learn how grain was traditionally milled, what a “čeketalo” is, and how the most delicious traditional bread is made. In this way, the Sorak family preserves the traditions and cultural heritage of the region in an interactive way.
