The 18th annual economic and tourism event "Winter Days on Kozara" began with a traditional hiking march.
The central event is set for tomorrow, featuring sports competitions between teams from various cities and municipalities, as well as a gastro competition involving hunting associations, hospitality and economic schools, hunters, and scouts.
A hundred participants completed the six-kilometer hiking trail, enjoying nature and pleasant weather. People of all generations took part in the event.
"We joined for fun, to spend as much time outdoors as possible, away from our phones," said Marija Pavić.
The Prijedor-based Extreme Sports Club "Albatros" organized the hiking march for the 16th time in cooperation with the Mountaineering Society "Klekovača".
"The trail is fairly easy, about six kilometers long. There is a slight incline at the beginning, but it's mostly flat, making it suitable for both younger and older participants," explained Milovan Polovina from Albatros Prijedor.
Dragan Romčević from Mountaineering Society "Klekovača" expressed his love for Kozara.
"For our mountaineering society, Kozara is our home mountain. We have a lodge here on Kotlovača, and we always come back to Kozara, even though we visit other destinations and mountains," said Romčević.
"Winter Days on Kozara" will conclude tomorrow at the plateau near the monument on Mrakovica, featuring a cultural and entertainment program, along with sports-recreational and gastro competitions with teams from ten municipalities and cities.
