ARE YOU GOING TO THE "RUN&MORE WEEKEND" FESTIVAL?

As in previous years, Mayor Draško Stanivuković will participate in the half-marathon race. He took the opportunity to invite everyone to be part of this fantastic event, which attracts more participants each year.

"This is a wonderful and important event with a long history. We always look forward to this festival. As the mayor, it is my duty and obligation to support the organizers, but it is even better when it aligns with my genuine desire, as I recognize the importance of this event. The fact that I am participating again this year, just like in the past few years, shows how much I value it. This year, I will once again run the 21-kilometer race, attempting to beat my personal record. Events like these are great for challenging and changing oneself, staying healthy, and creating new life habits," said Stanivuković.

These races are open to everyone—regardless of age or weather conditions.

Race director Goran Ćorić also took the opportunity to invite all interested individuals to register for one of the six races.

"I invite everyone to engage in sports and change their habits. We have done a lot to organize this event, and I can assure you that over the two days of the festival, there will be extremely interesting and competitive as well as recreational races. On Saturday, June 1st, we start with the 'Bambi Run' for kids up to seven years old. After that, we have a race for schoolchildren, where we expect around 1600 children from primary and secondary schools. Then we have the 'Color Fun and Run' race, the highlight of our efforts, where we expect about 3000 participants at the start. The race will go from Mladen Stojanović Park to the City Hall, filled with colors, five music points, and entertainment in front of the new multifunctional hall in Mladen Stojanović Park," he said.

He also mentioned the rich program scheduled for the second day of the festival, Sunday.

"On Sunday, June 2nd, three races will start at 8:00 AM— the half-marathon, a 10-kilometer race, and a 5-kilometer team race. We expect between 1300 and 1500 participants at the start, an increase from last year. Many runners preparing for the Olympics will be in these races. So, a total of six races will be held over two days," said Ćorić.

One of the promoters of this race, Jadranka Trkulja Ćosić, emphasized that this is one of the highest quality events in the largest city of Republika Srpska.

"I want to thank the organizers for such a significant event. We are participants and recognized as one of the organizations involved in socially responsible work, primarily encouraging girls to engage in sports. We also promote sports to help develop healthy habits," she said.
