HERE'S WHERE THE PEOPLE OF GACKO ESCAPE THE TROPICAL HEAT

To escape the tropical heat, the citizens of our country flock to rivers, the sea, or lakes. The people of Gačani have decided to spend their free time cooling off at Lake Klinje.

Entire families, as well as numerous tourists, have found relief from the heat by Lake Klinje. For many, it's a perfect spot to rest before continuing their journey to the sea.

The Milić family, traveling from Užice to Sutomore, traditionally stops in Gacko for a break.

"The nature here is magical, and our grandchildren are thrilled with the lake and how refreshing the water is. We've been going to the sea in Montenegro for 40 years, and we remember when there was a motel here. It's a shame it's now in ruins," said Milan, who loves vacationing in Herzegovina.

Klinje is also ideal for children, and those we spoke with were excited about the warm days.

"We don't have a swimming pool in Gacko, but we have beautiful lakes. Yesterday we were at Desivoje Lake, today we're at Klinje, and we usually spend weekends like this when our parents are free. We play volleyball with friends and have fun," said Milica, who learned to swim at this very lake.

The lake has also become famous for jumps from the dam. This competition, a favorite for adrenaline lovers, is scheduled for Saturday as part of the "Cultural and Sports Summer" event.
