WHILE WE WAIT FOR SPRING: ČEMERNO ONCE AGAIN GATHERS WINTER LOVERS

This year once again, the traditional event “All to the Snow – Čemerno Is Calling You” brought together a large number of children and adults, confirming that winter in Herzegovina has its own special charm.

On the mountain slopes of Čemerno, while nature still rests under a blanket of snow, nearly a thousand visitors enjoyed a day filled with laughter, games, and togetherness.

WINTER FUN FOR THE YOUNGEST

For the fourth consecutive year, winter activities were organized in the northern part of Eastern Herzegovina, bringing particular joy to the youngest visitors. Skiing, sledding, and snowball fights turned the mountain into a true winter fairytale.

Children enjoyed carefree play in the snow, while parents watched with smiles, reminded of simpler times when winter holidays meant pure outdoor fun and unforgettable memories.

FRESH MOUNTAIN AIR AND LOCAL FLAVORS

While the youngest visitors conquered snowy slopes, older guests enjoyed a rich gastronomic offer. The aromas of homemade specialties, warm drinks, and traditional Herzegovinian delicacies added warmth to the winter atmosphere.

Čemerno once again proved it is not just a one-day excursion destination, but a place where nature and tradition meet in the most beautiful way. Clean mountain air, untouched landscapes, and the hospitality of local hosts made the perfect combination for everyone who chose to spend the weekend away from the city bustle.

A GROWING NUMBER OF VISITORS – A RISING TOURISM POTENTIAL

Year after year, the event attracts an increasing number of visitors, confirming the strong potential for winter tourism development in this area. Čemerno is becoming a recognizable gathering place during the winter season, as well as a symbol of community spirit and positive energy.

Such events show that Herzegovina, in addition to its well-known summer attractions, has much to offer during the colder months. As we wait for spring, the snowy joys of Čemerno remind us how important it is to preserve and cherish natural beauty.

The event was successfully organized by the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Gacko, the Universal School of Sports Spartakus, and the Youth Organization Jezerine, with the support of the local community.

Judging by this year’s turnout, “All to the Snow – Čemerno Is Calling You” will continue to grow in the years to come, bringing together even more nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and supporters of a healthy lifestyle.
