The project was implemented in cooperation with the Municipal Administration, the Mountaineering Association “Zimomor,” the “Šampion” Sports School, and the nearby “Bišina” restaurant, which provided the land and necessary infrastructure.

The ski resort is located close to the Mostar–Nevesinje road, and the use of the ski slope, ski lift, and equipment is completely free of charge for all visitors.

The Tourist Organization has invited not only residents of Nevesinje, but also people from neighboring municipalities, to come and enjoy the winter atmosphere and introduce their children to winter sports. Throughout the winter season, ski instructors will be present on the slope, offering free training to everyone interested in learning to ski.

Darko Marić, Director of the Nevesinje Tourist Organization, expressed hope that weather conditions will be favorable so the destination can remain active for as long as possible during the winter season.

“With this project, we are trying to revive the winter tourism season in our municipality,” Marić said, thanking all those who contributed to bringing the idea to life.

Saša Mitrić, a coach at the “Šampion” Sports School in Nevesinje, stated that the school has 35 pairs of skis obtained through donations.

“All children who wish can use the skis and full equipment free of charge. We have three coaches, and they will try to be here throughout the entire season,” Mitrić added.

Deputy Mayor of Nevesinje, Bogdan Botić, emphasized that the opening of the ski slope is of great importance for the municipality.

“This part of Bišina was popular even before. There is more snow here than in Nevesinje itself, and our neighbors from Mostar used to come here for sledding. The location is close to the main road, and we also have a restaurant offering top-quality service,” Botić said.

He also noted that there are many ideas to further develop the area, such as acquiring snowmaking machines and additional improvements to the slope, announcing that work in this direction will continue.

Zoran Parović, owner of the “Bišina” restaurant, said that there has long been a desire to present this attractive location to visitors. He announced additional facilities in the future, including bungalows and the development of both winter and summer tourism at the site.
