The Ravna Planina Ski Center plans to build the first indoor ski hall in the Balkans.
According to the ski center, the hall will feature a 350-meter-long ski slope, an altitude difference of a solid 100 meters, and a width of 45 meters. It will also be powered by renewable energy sources.
- In line with climate changes, whose effects are most felt by winter tourism, the idea arose for a project that would enable skiing throughout the year, regardless of the season and weather conditions. The ski slope, snowpark, cross-country ski track, sledding area, and baby park will span 16,000 square meters, the ski center's statement said.
The project is planned to be completed within five years.
The Ravna Planina Ski Center already boasts 12 kilometers of groomed ski trails, snowmaking facilities, and night skiing, as well as the necessary ski infrastructure to host international FIS competitions. In addition to existing accommodation capacities and restaurants, a hotel with spa amenities and a conference hall is currently under construction, reports princip.news, and Biznisinfo.
