Mrakovica will be one of the key checkpoints of the eighth edition of the B-HARD Ultra Race 2026, scheduled to take place from June 12 to 17 next year.
The organizers presented checkpoint CP1, located in the heart of Kozara National Park at 806 meters above sea level, where nature, history, and mountain scenery come together.
Climb Through the Forest to Mrakovica
Although it comes relatively early in the route, after 57 kilometers of riding, CP1 represents a serious challenge for competitors. Cyclists will face a 12-kilometer climb with an average gradient of five percent through the forested landscapes of Kozara.
According to the organizers, the ascent is gentle but constant, serving as a true introduction to what riders can expect during the B-HARD ultramarathon.
At the top, near the memorial complex on Mrakovica, participants will have the opportunity to rest and recover before continuing the demanding course.
A “Rollercoaster” After the Descent
After the checkpoint, riders will descend along the same winding road before entering a far more dynamic and technically demanding section of the route.
The organizers emphasize that the combination of natural beauty, physical challenge, and unique atmosphere is what makes B-HARD Ultra Race 2026 one of the most attractive cycling adventures in the region.
Registration for the race is open through the official website B-HARD Ultra Race.
