In an effort to promote cultural heritage through innovative approaches, project partners and the Tourist Organization of the City of Derventa have signed a cooperation agreement to implement the project “Protection of Cultural Heritage in BiH through CSO Networks – PCH Program,” which is already delivering concrete results.
In line with the agreement, ten virtual reality (VR) headsets have been officially handed over at the premises of the Tourist Organization of the City of Derventa. The equipment will be used to promote the historical core of the city, with a special focus on the medieval Derbent Fortress, which played a significant role in shaping the development of the city as it exists today.
Activities have also begun on the production of a 3D video presentation that will be showcased using the VR headsets. The content will be available to students, local residents, and future visitors, offering them an immersive experience and the opportunity to learn fascinating historical facts about the origins and evolution of Derventa.
The
established partnership stands as a positive example of synergy between the
public and civil sectors, aimed at preserving cultural heritage, enhancing the
cultural tourism offer, and introducing modern technologies into heritage
promotion.
