Trebević has gained another mountain hiking trail this summer, created in response to the growing number of visitors who discover the natural beauty of this mountain year after year.
The
new trail was initiated and developed by the Mountain Rescue Service of Istočni
Stari Grad, with financial support from the budget of the Municipality of
Istočni Stari Grad. It connects the localities of Dobre Vode and Brus.
The
trail is 1,200 metres long, with an elevation difference of approximately 130
metres. Categorised as an easy hiking route, it is suitable for all generations
– from recreational hikers and outdoor enthusiasts to families looking to spend
time in nature
Running
through the dense forests of Trebević, the trail leads from Dobre Vode to the
urban area of Brus, creating a new, well-maintained and safely marked connection
between two attractive destinations, the municipal website reports
The project is particularly valuable because members of the Mountain Rescue Service of Istočni Stari Grad, in addition to their essential mission of rescuing, protecting and assisting people in difficult-to-access terrain, have put their knowledge, experience and free time at the service of tourism development.
The
trail has been fully arranged, signposted and marked, further improving its
functionality and quality, while also strengthening Trebević's tourism
infrastructure.
The
project is another indication that Trebević is increasingly being viewed not
only as a mountain, but also as a major tourism potential of Istočni Stari Grad
– a destination that continues to gain new attractions for day-trippers,
hikers, recreational visitors and families
The
Mountain Rescue Service of Istočni Stari Grad has also announced plans to build
two more mountain hiking trails, which will provide additional opportunities
for active holidays and enjoying the natural surroundings of Trebević.
