IN THE ŠABIĆ ORCHARD, THE SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN: MODRIČA SMELLS OF CHERRIES

Cherry season is in full swing, and among the first locally grown fruits to reach the market are the ripe cherries from the orchard of the Šabić family farm in Modriča.

The farm says this year’s harvest is of excellent quality, especially the “Burlat” variety, known for its large and sweet fruits. According to the owners, the harvest has been successful and customers are highly satisfied.

“The cherries are delicious, sweet and large. One customer even joked that he got a ‘glucose shock’ from all the sweetness,” the Šabić farm said.

The orchard is located in the very centre of Modriča, where residents can directly purchase freshly picked cherries at a price of 8 KM per kilogram.

The commercial family farm Šabić, based in the village of Babešnica, specializes in fruit growing and, besides cherries, also cultivates sour cherries and pears.
