STARLINK MOVES CLOSER TO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA: RESIDENTS CAN ALREADY ORDER SATELLITE INTERNET EQUIPMENT

US company SpaceX has registered a legal entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while residents can now enter their address on the Starlink website and order equipment or pay a deposit to join the waiting list.

This suggests that Starlink satellite internet in Bosnia and Herzegovina could become available soon.

High-Speed Internet Without Cables

Starlink provides internet access through satellites in low Earth orbit, without the need for cable or fibre-optic infrastructure. The service could be particularly important for users in rural and remote areas where reliable internet access is limited.

To use the service, customers need a dedicated satellite dish and additional equipment, while entering an address on the Starlink website allows them to join the waiting list with a nine-dollar deposit.

Who Could Benefit Most?

Satellite internet could be particularly useful for owners of holiday homes, residents of remote areas, field workers and companies that require a reliable internet connection in locations without adequate infrastructure.

The official pricing for Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet been announced, but prices could be similar to those offered by Starlink in other countries across the region, with the equipment requiring an additional investment.

Licensing Procedure Underway

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Communications and Transport Edin Forto previously confirmed that SpaceX had submitted the required documentation and that the licensing procedure was underway.

On May 22, 2026, the company submitted an application to the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (RAK) for a licence to provide internet access services, marking another step towards the launch of Starlink on the Bosnian market.
