OLIĆKO LAKE – A HIDDEN NATURAL GEM NEAR ŠIPOVO

In addition to the five rivers that flow through Šipovo and the extraordinary beauty of the ten-kilometre-long Sokočnica Canyon, another attraction that captures the attention of visitors is Olićko Lake.

This triangular-shaped lake is located at the foot of Mount Kozila, seven kilometres south of Šipovo.

Olićko is a natural lake formed in a tectonic depression, situated at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level.

Covering an area of around 1,000 square metres and reaching a depth of up to 30 metres, the lake maintains a stable water level throughout the year.

 Its water is remarkably clear and clean, becoming murky only during periods of prolonged rainfall in early spring and autumn.
