MORE THAN 550 NEW BOOKS FOR LIBRARIES IN SRBAC

The Srbac Public Library has completed the project “Books for Everyone: Improving Educational and Cultural Resources in the Municipality of Srbac,” providing more than 550 new books to libraries across the municipality.

The project included the Srbac Public Library, all school libraries in the municipality, as well as the library of Osovica Monastery. The books are worth a total of 9,545 KM, with financial support provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska.

Library director Slaviša Stojković said that one of the main goals was to make required school reading more accessible to students and encourage young people to develop a love of books and literature.

The Osovica Monastery library was also enriched with new editions, while a number of books were donated to the community center in Bardača, where an initiative has been launched to establish a local library.

The project aims to make books, knowledge and cultural resources more accessible to people throughout the Srbac area.
