CASTING CALL FOR “THE LAST BALKAN COWBOY” IN BIJELJINA

The Dublin-based production company Invisible Thread and director Dragana Jurišić have invited the people of Bijeljina to audition for roles in the docu-fiction western film “The Last Balkan Cowboy.”

The casting will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the City Cinema in Bijeljina, located at Kneza Miloša 28 (across from Hotel Drina), starting at 10 a.m. Exact audition slots will be provided to candidates upon registration.

According to the script, the story follows events in a border town attacked by a gang led by Tiger Bundun. A lone cowboy, Hari, close to a young girl named Darling and her mother, steps up to defend the community. The film builds up to a dramatic showdown in front of the saloon, focusing on moral dilemmas, the cost of violence, and the hero’s final decision to leave, giving hope to those who remain.

The casting team is looking for the following roles:

Hari Jackson (25–40 years old)

Woman (25–40 years old)

Darling (around 10 years old)

Tiger Bundun (25–40 years old, riding skills preferred)

Gang members (20–45 years old, riding skills preferred)

Native American character (long dark hair preferred, age not specified)

Female roles in their 40s and 70s

Filming is scheduled for September 17–20, 2025, on locations around Bijeljina.
