The interactive play for children and adults "Princess Zlatka in the Kingdom of Colors," written and directed by Marko Dukić and produced by the Banja Luka-based Nevid Theatre, will be performed as part of the competitive program of the 10th Children's Art Festival (FEDU) on Tuesday, May 7, at 12 p.m. at the Sarajevo Youth and Cultural Center.
The play tells the story of Princess Zlatka, a princess of fairies and elves from the Yellow Kingdom, who enriches her life by getting to know the kingdoms of various colors, thus breaking down the prejudices of her father, King Žutka, and showing children that the world, enriched by diversities, is richer and more fulfilling.
The kingdoms represent cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Sarajevo, Tuzla, Banja Luka, Jajce, Trebinje, and Mostar.
The cast includes: Maja Vujanović, Dejan Andrić, and Marko
Dukić. The costume designers are Maja Mirković and Biljana Tegeltija Bojanić,
who, together with Đurđica Bjelošević, shaped and made the props. The
choreographer of stage movement is Marko Dukić, associate sculptor Bojan
Mikulić, while the costumes were made by Jela Bošković and Ljiljana Šiniković.
This is Nevid Theatre's second participation in the
competitive program of FEDU. The award for the best actor at the 5th Children's
Art Festival in Sarajevo was won by the inseparable and fantastic duo, Dejan
Andrić and Marko Dukić, for their roles as Štuc and Muc in the play
"Miraculous Continents."
