LET’S HELP CHILDREN LIVE WITH DIGNITY: HUMANITARIAN ACTION LAUNCHED FOR VUK MALI

A humanitarian action has been launched to support Vuk Mali from Rekavice near Banja Luka, a boy suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a severe and progressive disease that has reached an advanced stage in his case.

Due to his extremely serious health condition, Vuk does not attend school and is completely bedridden. His vital functions depend on medical equipment — he breathes with the help of a respirator and is fed through a PEG tube (gastrostomy).

Vuk’s condition requires care equivalent to intensive hospital treatment; however, this care is being provided at home. His parents take care of him continuously, 24 hours a day. Because of the constant and demanding nature of this care, they are unable to work and earn regular income.

Citizens can support this humanitarian action by calling the humanitarian phone number 1414, through which a donation of 1 KM is made, helping Vuk in his fight against this serious illness.

The goal of the action is to raise funds for the purchase of essential medical supplies, specialized medical nutrition, consumable materials for the respirator and PEG, as well as to cover the high costs of home treatment and care, which far exceed the family’s financial capabilities.
