The wine "Barrique Vranac Grand Selection" from 2016, produced by the "Sekulović" Winery from Trebinje, has won a gold medal at one of the most prestigious and largest wine competitions in the world – AWC Vienna, held in Vienna.
Despite fierce competition from 10,800 wines by 1,400 producers from 41 countries, Sekulović's wine took home the gold medal, further affirming the quality for which this winery is becoming increasingly recognized on the market.
"The success of our winery is even greater because the award came in the red wine category, which is the most difficult and demanding category in this competition," said representatives of the "Sekulović" Winery.
This recognition is not only significant for the "Sekulović" Winery, but also for Trebinje and Republika Srpska, as evidenced by the fact that other top trophies in Vienna went to the 2016 Chateau Changyu Tinlot Reserve from China’s Yantai Changyu Winery, while the highest score for white wines was awarded to the 2022 Neuburger Spitzer Smaragd DAC from Austria's Hofstatter Winery.
