This year, for the first time since its destruction in 1992, the Easter liturgy was served at the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity in Mostar.
The church's dean, Duško Kojić, had previously stated that liturgies at the Cathedral Church were only held on the day of the Holy Trinity, the church's patron saint day.
Once the largest place of worship in the Balkans, alongside the Old Bridge, symbolizing Mostar, the Cathedral Church had been awaiting restoration for almost three decades. A few years ago, it finally emerged in its distinctive yet renewed attire, capturing the attention of both citizens and tourists.
However, the restoration of the Cathedral Church in Mostar is not yet complete."
