The exhibition "Manga, Hokusai, Manga," organized by the Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Japan Foundation, and the Museum of the Republic of Srpska, has opened at the Museum of the Republic of Srpska.
This exhibition introduces a part of Japanese culture to
Banja Luka through one of its most famous phenomena—manga—and the works of the
manga artist Katsushika Hokusai, who established this unique artistic form two
centuries ago. By exploring the similarities and differences between Hokusai's
works and those of contemporary manga artists, we gain insight into a
phenomenon that has long transcended Japan's borders and become a cultural
heritage of humanity, according to the Museum of the Republic of Srpska.
The exhibition "Manga, Hokusai, Manga" at the Museum of the Republic of Srpska will be available until September 13, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
