The film "Fog in Hands" by Milana Majar was awarded Best Film in the competition for the world premiere at the 28th International Meeting of Film, Television, and Multimedia – Avanca in Portugal.
This film, produced by Radio Television of the Republic of
Srpska, narrates the tragic fate of the last Banja Luka bohemian, writer Đuro
Damjanović, who embodied everything he wrote about through his own life.
Ignoring material values and symbols of success and power,
he believed that life confirms its meaning only when a person dies. Life did
not allow him to write everything he wanted, but his best book continues to be
written, stated the press release.
The International Meetings of Film, Television, Video, and Multimedia – Avanca, were held this year under the motto "Freedom, Freedom."
The event focused on 50 films from Portuguese and European
cinematography.
It is one of the oldest festivals in Portugal and the only
one that brings together works from the fields of television, video, and
multimedia content. It showcases the largest number of world premieres compared
to all other festivals in Portugal, Iberia, and Lusophony.
"Fog in Hands" will have its premiere at this
year's "Kočić's Gathering" in Banja Luka, followed by a screening for
the audience in Belgrade.
