The Energy Summit (SET) is taking place in Trebinje from March 20th to 22nd, under the slogan "Energy Connectivity of the Western Balkans," bringing together the most eminent energy experts from the region.
Among the attendees at the grand opening of the Summit are
the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, the Minister of Mining and
Energy of Republika Srpska, Petar Đokić, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of
Ministers, Staša Košarac, the General Director of "Electric Power Industry
of Republika Srpska," Luka Petrović, the Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić,
as well as numerous participants and experts.
The three-day Summit gathers around 1,000 participants from
11 countries, along with representatives from 200 companies.
According to the organizers, this year's Summit will be the most comprehensive and diverse in terms of content, with significant topics including the expansion of renewable energy sources as a pathway towards the end of the fossil fuel era.
The Fifth Summit will feature seven panel discussions and
three discussions with two speakers, covering the most significant topics in
the field of energy, such as the energy connectivity of power utilities in the
region and the construction of large-capacity renewable energy facilities.
The first day of the Summit, following the grand opening,
will host a panel discussion on the integration of renewable energy sources
into the grid and the expansion of energy grid capacities.
The next day is reserved for the electricity market, trading
on exchanges, and a panel discussion on gas as a transit fuel until 2050, while
Friday, March 21st, will feature a panel discussion on rooftop solar power
plants.
