In Bastasi near Banjaluka, a rural household named "Paradise Valley" has recently opened its doors. This charming retreat is set to become a haven for relaxation and a destination for numerous tourists and visitors looking to experience the authentic Krajina traditions, cuisine, and way of life in a typical Krajina village.
The
Koprena family’s agricultural estate in Karanovac has officially registered
their rural household under the name "Paradise Valley," offering
accommodation and a selection of traditional Krajina specialties. The Banjaluka
Center for Agricultural and Rural Development supported the establishment of
this household to promote rural tourism, self-employment, and encourage locals
to stay in the countryside, while also fostering organic food production and
native products.
Along with accommodation, the Koprena household offers an open and closed hospitality space with a kitchen and an open-concept hearth, allowing guests to observe food preparation.
The enclosed area has a capacity of up to 120 guests. The estate is situated next to a perennial stream rich in fish, where a mill will be built to supply the household with freshly milled flour.
The
household also operates several greenhouses dedicated to organic vegetable and
fruit production. Dairy products, meat, and eggs are produced on-site, aligning
with the concept that all food and drinks offered are either grown on the
estate or sourced from neighboring farms.
Visitors
can reach "Paradise Valley" by traveling from Banjaluka toward the
Švrakava River waterfalls. Upon arrival, guests will be warmly welcomed by the
Koprena family with wholesome food and cheerful hospitality.
