The village of Bratač in Nevesinje has unveiled its first promotional video, created with funding from the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG RRD) in collaboration with GIZ.
The video was produced by Miroslav Simović with the help of
local villagers, and the musical backdrop was performed by the ethno singing
group Sveti Dimitrije from Nevesinje.
"We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to
creating this material. This is just the beginning of a new chapter in the
history of our village," stated the Facebook page "Najljepše selo
Bratač."
Bratač has been listed among the 14 most beautiful villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Sustainable Tourism Development Project supported by USAID.
The brief description of Bratač highlights it as a true
hidden gem of the eastern Herzegovina region.
This village reveals an astonishing wealth of historical
heritage on the Nevesinje plateau – ancient Roman remains, a medieval bridge,
and the oldest traditional games known as the Nevesinje Olympics.
Nearby Bratač, 15 kilometers east of Nevesinje, is Ovčiji
Brod, a bridge from the Ottoman period over the Zamolka River. It has been declared
a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
