Preparations for the fifth Energy Summit (SET), to be held in Trebinje from March 20th to 22nd, are entering the final phase. The participation of around a thousand representatives from energy companies, public and private enterprises, energy service providers, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and other governmental bodies from the region, is expected.
'We have already completed all the tasks within the scope of
the program committee and adopted the agenda, which will be officially
announced on the Energy Summit website in the next seven days, listing all the
Summit participants,' said the director of SET, Aleksandar Branković.
In the year when the Energy Summit celebrates a small
jubilee, its fifth year of existence, an even greater number of participants
and sponsors is expected.
'This is particularly pleasing and confirms that SET has
grown into one of the most respected events of its kind in the energy sector in
the region, bringing together leading experts and representatives from all
relevant companies in this field,' emphasizes Branković.
The fifth Energy Summit is held under the slogan 'Energy Connectivity of the Western Balkans,' and besides this topic, during the three days, opinions of experts in the field of 'green' energy, renewable sources, transmission systems, production, and energy market will be heard in seven separate panels and three one-on-one discussions.
'Transition in energy is always our priority, but there are
also topics related to expanding the capacity of electro-energy networks,
introducing renewable energy sources into the grid, energy trading here in the
region, and some topics important for small energy producers, which are
increasing in number, such as how to maintain their own solar power plants and
how to manage them,' said Branković.
In addition to exchanging opinions and ideas on significant
and important topics in the field of energy, it is expected that important
contracts will be concluded during the Summit in Trebinje, and significant
contacts and new business partnerships will be established.
'The Summit is evolving into a real business conference
where many companies that come to Trebinje have their first discussions and
agreements, and there are also realized contracts, which is particularly
pleasing to us, as well as the fact that people keep coming back to us,' said
Aleksandar Branković.
He emphasized that the Energy Summit in Trebinje is already among the top five such events in Europe. The increasing number of participants year by year proves this.
'This year will certainly be the same, accommodation capacities are already quite filled during the Summit. We already have over 300 registered participants, and there is still a month until the Summit. Surely, we will exceed the number of 700 or 800 participants as we had last year,' Branković adds.
The general sponsor of the Summit is 'Elnos Group' from Banja Luka, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Energy and Mining, and the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship in the Government of Republika Srpska."
